How Giant Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and applicable international standards.

This Privacy Policy explains how Giant Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd (UEN 202031129W) (“Giantec”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data when you visit our website at giantec.sg (the “Site”), submit a quotation request, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our business.

We are committed to handling personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and other applicable data protection laws.

We collect this data directly from you, automatically when you use our Site, or from third-party sources such as our suppliers, freight forwarders, payment providers, business partners and publicly available business directories.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Quotation enquiries — typically retained for up to 24 months from the date of your last interaction;
  • Customer and supplier records — retained for the duration of our commercial relationship and a reasonable period thereafter;
  • Transactional, accounting and tax records — retained for at least five (5) years, in line with Singapore statutory requirements;
  • Technical logs — typically retained for up to 12 months, unless required for security investigations.

When personal data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it.

9. Your Rights Under the PDPA

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correction — request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have previously given for our use of your personal data, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice;
  • Lodge a complaint — with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore (PDPC) at pdpc.gov.sg.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request and aim to respond within thirty (30) days.

10. Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These measures include access controls, encrypted communications where appropriate, secured storage, and supplier due diligence.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Data

Our Site and services are intended for business and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of eighteen (18). If you believe we may have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us so we can remove it.
